The Clinton Herald Thursday May 16, 1957 p. 8 Clem A. Holdgrafer, 72, formerly of 2804 N. 3rd St., died at 5:45 a.m. today in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cel Berding, 515 19th Ave. N. The body is at the Pape funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held Monday with the time to be announced later. Clem A. Holdgrafer was born Jan. 21, 1885, in Clinton county, the son of Diedtrick and Theresa Wubben Holdgrafer. On Feb. 5, 1907 he was married to Louise Droste in St. Boniface church. He was a member of the St. Boniface church, the Altar and Rosary society, the Holy Name society, Knights of Columbus, Odeon association, Moose lodge and Izaak Walton league. Surviving are three sons, Edward, Tucson, Ariz., Henry of Martindale, and Tech. Sgt. Raymond Holdgrafer, Quantico, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Unruh, Bryant, Mrs. Sidney Fogg, Clinton, and Mrs. Cel Berding, Clinton; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Henry and John of Williams, Frank of Stephen, Minn. and Barnie of Cuba City, Wis.; two sisters, Sister May Martina, Sioux City and Mrs. Clem Kimmann, Clinton. He was proceded in death by his wife in 1940, one grandchild, one brother and two sisters.
