The Clinton Herald Friday May 13, 1927 p. 8 Mrs. Theresa Wubben Holdgrafer, widow of the late J.D. Holdgrafer, aged 82 years, died early this morning at her home west of Lyons. Mrs. Holdgrafer was one of the pioneers of this region and had spent a large part of her life here. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at St. Boniface church, the Rev. Jos. M. Tritz officiating. Interment will be in St. Boniface cemetery. Mrs. Holdgrafer was born September 23, 1844 in Hanover, Germany coming to America many years ago. Her husband passed away April 23, 1912. Left to mourn her death are ten sons and daughters, John and Henry Holdgrafer of Williams, Barney Holdgrafer of Cuba City, Wis., Frank Holdgrafer, Stevens, Minn., Sister Mary Martina, Ashton, Mrs. J.B. Knoll, Dubuque, William and Clem Holdgrafer and Mrs. Henry Wagemeister of Lyons and Celia Holdgrafer at home. There are also 48 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one brother, Henry Wubben of Breda.

The Clinton Herald Saturday May 14, 1927 p. 8 The funeral of Mrs. Theresa Holdgrafer who passed away early Friday morning at her home west of the city, will be held Monday morning with Requiem Mass at 9 o'clock at St. Boniface church. The Rev. Jos. M. Tritz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Boniface cemetery.
