ELIZABETH, Ill. — Henry G. Knapp, 86, of Elizabeth, died Monday at Freeport (Ill.) Health Network Memorial Hospital.
Inurnment will take place at a later date.
He was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Lyons to William and Julia Quinn Knapp. He married Irene Noble on April 30, 1942, in Galena, Ill.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was employed with the Savanna (Ill.) Army Depot as a forklift operator. He also farmed in the area for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and two great-nephews; 15 great-great nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great-niece.
