SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa.

VISITATION: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa.

MAQUOKETA — Lorraine M. Heneke Rodriguez, 84, of Maquoketa, died Thursday at her home.

Burial will be in the Monmouth, Iowa, Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 7, 1921, in Jackson County to John Yarolim Sr. and Etta Sinkey Yarolim. She married Howard H. Heneke on Dec. 11, 1937, in Maquoketa. He died Nov. 3, 1975. She married Leon Rodriguez on June 26, 1982, in Maquoketa.

She was educated in the Monmouth schools.

She had farmed with her husband, Howard, in the Jackson, Clinton and Jones county areas for 18 years, moving to Maquoketa in 1956. She then worked as a certified nursing assistant for 23 years at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Leon Rodriguez of Maquoketa; children, Charles (Sukie) Heneke of Cheyenne, Wyo., Mrs. Debra (Larry) Templeton of Maquoketa, and Richard (Grace) Heneke of San Antonio, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard, two daughters, a brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.

A Lorraine M. Heneke Rodriguez Memorial Fund has been established.

Death Date: July 27, 2006.
