SERVICES: 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Elizabeth Liggett officiating. Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

CLINTON — Paul Junior Schubert, 84, of Clinton, died Thursday at the Alverno Health Care Facility.

He was born March 26, 1922, in West Elkton, Ohio, to Paul and Gertrude Withrow Schubert. He married Ruby Wall-Holman on April 16, 1977, in New Lenox, Ill.

He was a graduate of West Elkton High School and attended Miami University in Ohio.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.

He was a supervisor with General Motors in the Fischer Body Division, Willow Springs, Ill., for 35 years before retiring in 1979.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna (Gayland) Del Sasso of New Lenox, Ill., and Sharon (Michael) Putts of Merrells Inlet, S.C.; one son, Paul J. Schubert Jr. of Willowbrook, Ill.; three stepsons, Mark (Linda) Holman of Marshalltown, Stephen (Diane) Holman of Belpre, Ohio, and Thomas Holman of Sabula; eight grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Bennett of Largo, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one sister and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Habitat Project.

Death date: July 27, 2006.
