SERVICES: Private at Catholic Church of the Visitation, Camanche. Pastor Richard Okumo will be officiating. Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way, is in charge of arrangements.
CAMANCHE — Arnit James “Arnie” Padulla Sr., 86, of Camanche, died Sunday at his home.
Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Richard, Stacey and Brian Hansen, Doug Schultz and David and Ray Johnson.
He was born April 8, 1920, in Wheeling, W.Va., to Dominick and Hazel Sprawl Padulla. He married Fydelia B. Gordon on Dec. 19, 1945, in Clinton. She died in December.
He was educated in the Catholic school system, Clinton.
He was employed with Clinton Corn for 35 years and part time with Bennett Box.
He was a member of Catholic Church of the Visitation, Camanche.
Survivors include three daughters, Cathy (Jerry) Driscoll of Maquoketa, Hazel (Randy) Schultz of Clinton and Rose (Lynn) Plummer of Camanche; three sons, Nick (Judy) Padulla of Oregon, Ill., Arnit (Neta) Padulla Jr. of Clinton and Andy (Jodi) Padulla of Folletts; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Friemuth of Oregon, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers.
