MARY IPSEN, 81
Services for Mary M Ipsen will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rev. David Goestch will officiate.
Mrs. Ipsen, 81, formerly of Iowa City, died Monday at the Camelot Hospice in Peoria, Ariz. after a long illness.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Donohue-Lensing Funeral Home, where the Catholic Daughters will say a rosary at 4 p.m. A parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. there. Memorial donations can be made to Mother Teresa's Order of Missionaries of Charity.
Mrs. Ipsen was born Nov. 28, 1907, in West Liberty, daughter of Frank and Sarah Cunniff Ruess. She married Raymond P. Ipsen Nov. 29, 1941, in Iowa City. He died in 1986.
She was a graduate of the University of Iowa. She taught at Cosgrove High School and Central Junior High for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Margaaret (Mrs. Thomas ) McDonald of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one sister, Geraldine (Mrs Bernard) Sheridan of Iowa City, and three grandchildren. One sister died earlier.
