Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. today at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Elizabeth.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Derinda.

FREEPORT, Ill. — Wayne A. Lyons, 74, of Freeport and formerly of Elizabeth, Ill., died Saturday at Monroe (Wis.) Clinic Hospital.

Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Derinda, Ill.

He was born Feb. 29, 1932, in rural Stockton, Ill., to Ray and Mabel Davis Lyons. He married Ruth Heer on Nov. 23, 1957, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Derinda.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, stationed in Germany.

He was a farmer.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Derinda, and served as sexton of the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Lyons of Stockton and Sandra (Kent) Welling of Freeport; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be given in his name to Trinity Lutheran Church, Derinda.

He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister in-law and his parents.
