Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Mears officiating.

TIPTON — Eldon Ruchotzke, 69, of Tipton, died Monday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Clarence.

He was born April 9, 1937, in Clarence to Edward Ruchotzke and Ida Luettjohann.

He lived at New Horizon Residential Care, Tipton, for 40 years. Since the closing of the facility, he lived at Mechanicsville Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He worked with Cedar Employment Opportunity.

Survivors include three sisters, Elda (Larry) Licht of Clarence, Evelyn Wiebel of Clarence, Eloise (Mike) Vacek of Oxford Junction; one brother, Everett (Barbara) of Columbus Junction.

Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous of Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Death date: July 17, 2006
