Larry L. Luckritz, 48, of Clinton, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at his home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2005, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. James Machen officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Totten, Jeff Stoller, Rob Shumake, Brian Johnson and Bob, Herman and Stan Dierks.
Larry was born January 23, 1957, in Clinton, the son of Robert (Bob) and Phyllis (Dierks) Luckritz. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1975. Larry was the superintendent of the restoration of the Van Allen Building in Clinton under Crombie Taylor. He most recently was employed with Clinton Engineering Company. Larry enjoyed restoration work. He loved the outdoors, especially hiking in the woods, the river, and being with the wildlife out where he lived. Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
Larry is survived by his mother, Phyllis Luckritz, of Clinton; a sister, Sandra Van Every, of Clinton; a brother, Gary (Mary) Luckritz, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; his grandmother, Dorothy Dierks, of Clinton; two nephews, Ryan and Josh Van Every, both of Des Moines, Iowa; his aunts and uncles, Gwen and Merle Miller, Bob and Dar Dierks, Herm and Sharon Dierks, Stan and Kay Dierks, Hub and Jo Luckritz and Lois Luckritz, all of Clinton; and many cousins and two special friends, Sharon Mootz and Libby Meier, both of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his father, grandpa, Stanley Dierks, grandpa, Walter Luckritz, grandma, Clara Luckritz, and his uncles and aunts, Elmer and Dorothy Luckritz, Dick and Gerry Cline and Kenny Luckritz.
