The Clinton Herald Monday October 3, 1966 p. 11 Mrs. Leona C. Ladehoff, 67, of 900 N. 11th St., former vice-president of Clinton Engineering Co., died Sunday afternoon in Mercy hospital. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick's church, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers will be A.T. Farley, William N. King, Grover C. Lesher, Ben F. Martinsen, Vincent J. Maxheim, Thomas W. Oakes, O.F. Triplett and Leroy G. Willey, all past commanders of the American Legion. Rosaries will be recited in the Delaney funeral home at 8 p.m. today by St. Patrick's parish and at 8:30 p.m. today by members of Daughters of Isabella. Visitation begins at 7 p.m. today. Past presidents and unit members of the American Legion auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home. Leona Harrison was born Nov. 22, 1898, in Clinton, the daughter of William H. and Nellie Kennedy Harrison. She attended St. Mary's grade school and was graduated from Clinton high school. She taught at Jefferson school for many years. She was married to Arthur D. Ladehoff, Oct. 20, 1920 in Clinton. Mrs. Ladehoff was current president of Clinton Blind association, past president of June Van Meter Post 190 auxiliary, past state president of the Iowa Department of the American Legion auxiliary, Clinton Woman of the Year in 1956 and a former director of Hawkeye Girls State. She was a housemother for Alpha Xi Delta sorority at the University of Iowa and Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Kansas University. She was a member of St. Patrick's church and the Altar and Rosary society and Pollyanna circle of the church, Clinton Woman's club, Daughters of Isabella and Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Allen L. (Mary Louise) Rutenbeck and Mrs. H.A. (Joan) Haskin of Clinton; six grandchildren; and several hieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1953, one brother and three sisters.
