The Clinton Herald Saturday March 15, 1933 p. 8 Peter Eggers, one of the old and respected retired farmers living in Clinton, passed away Saturday morning at 4:30 o'clock at Agatha hospital, death being due to an operation which he had submitted to the afternoon previous. He was 64 years old at the time of his death. Funeral arrangements are not yet completed, but services will probably be held Monday afternoon at the late residence, 505 North Third street. Mr. Eggers was born in Germany, but for many years has been an American citizen, having lived on a farm near the city for a number of years. The last two years of his life were spent in retirement from the active labor of former years. To mourn his death are left a bereaved wife, and eleven children, all of whom reside on farms near the city.
