The Clinton Herald Friday December 22, 1995 p. 9 Alta H. Struve, 91, of Hauntown, died Thursday at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pape Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Meyer of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dan Smith, George Struve, Edward Baasch, and Garnet, Virgil and Robert Eggers. Mrs. Struve was born May 6, 1904, in Elk River Township, to Henry J. and Helena Stoltenberg Eggers. She married Leslie M. Struve, Nov. 24, 1926, in Clinton. He died Jan. 1, 1988. She and her husband farmed in Hauntown, and also owned and operated the Elk River Mill in Hauntown. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Andover and the Friendly Neighbor 500 Club. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and making candles and jellies. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Cotton of Hauntown; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded by three sisters and six brothers. Death date: Dec. 21, 1995.
