The Clinton Herald Thursday September 11, 1980 p. 9 LeRoy E. Eggers, 77, of 1701 N. 3rd St., former district court bailiff, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Faith Lutheran Church, Andover, with the Rev. Timothy Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Firday in Canon Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. to the funeral hour Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be Donald Dierks, Robert Dierks, Bruce Bielenberg, Jerry Huebner, Kermit Thompson and Kevin Eggers. Mr. Eggers was born June 11, 1903, in Teeds Grove, to John and Anna Everhart Eggers. He married Isabell A. Naeve Dec. 5, 1931, in Clinton. He farmed for several years before moving to Clinton in 1957, and was Clinton County District Court baliff until 1977. He was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Andover and a former council member; and a member of Lutheran Brotherhood and Loyal Order of the Moose #363. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Connie) Koehn of Clinton; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
