The Clinton Herald Saturday March 9, 1968 p. 13 Henry A. Eggers, 66, of 704 N. 3rd St., died at 10:40 p.m. Friday in Mercy hospital, shortly after being admitted. He had been ill about a year. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Zion Lutheran church with Rev. Martin Bredow and Rev. Melvin Frahm officiating. Burial will be in Andover cemetery. Pallbearers will be Norman Garson, Loren Manning, Ralph Eggers, Garnett Eggers, Daniel Smith and Gordon Goetzl. Visitation in the Snell-Smith funeral home will begin tonight. The body will be taken Monday noon to Zion church. Mr. Eggers was born Oct. 9, 1901, in Andover, the son of Henry J. and Helen Stoltenburg Eggers. He was married Nov. 3, 1926, to Miss Hannah Andresen. They farmed in the Andover area until moving to Clinton in 1954. Mr. Eggers later was employed by Clinton Corn Processing Co. and retired in 1966. He was a member of Zion church. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Donald H. (Lorraine) Cunningham and Mrs. Robert (Joan) Garson of Clinton, and Mrs. Raymond (Ethel) Gordon of Glendora, Calif.; five brothers, John and Herman Eggers of Andover; Edward and Albert Eggers of Teeds Grove and Ernest Eggers of Sabula; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Lange and Mrs. Arnold Struve of Andover; Mrs. Leslie Struve and Mrs. Kamm Smith of Hauntown, and seven grandchildren.
