The Clinton Herald Thursday December 24, 1987 p. 14 Rosa Eggers, 89, formerly of Andover, died Wednesday in The Alverno. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Faith Lutheran Church, Andover, with the Rev. Bob Hamel officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Miller Funeral Home, Preston, and from 9 a.m. until the service hour Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery. Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be James, Stanley, Jeffrey, Kenneth, Kevin and Dennis Eggers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Peters and Leroy Thomsen. Mrs. Eggers was born June 8, 1896, near Teeds Grove, to August C. and Anna Roeh Jess. She married John J. Eggers, Jan. 18, 1922. He died in 1970. Mrs. Eggers farmed with her husband near Teeds Grove until 1947. She had formerly lived at Sarah Harding Home in 1985 and moved to The Alverno in May of 1987. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Andover Senior Citizens. Survivors include four sons, Ralph H. and George A., both of Andover, Robert J. of Elvira, and Richard A. of Teeds Grove; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Irene) Peters, of Clinton. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
