SERVICES: 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

VISITATION: Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

DUBUQUE — Luella R. Griebel, 98, of Ennoble Manor, died Friday.

Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Bellevue.

Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home, Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Nov. 8, 1907, in Jackson County to Fred and Anna Duesing Huenke. She married Harold Griebel on Oct. 15, 1929. He died Sept. 27, 1997.

She farmed with her husband north of Bellevue until they moved to Dubuque, where she did housecleaning for numerous people.

Survivors include two daughters, Darlys Mathews of Centennial, Colo., and Vaneta Taplin of Miles; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Death Date: July 14, 2006.
