The Clinton Herald Saturday March 12, 1955 p. 8 Jerry Eggers, 73, of 2303 1/2 N. 2nd St., died in Jane Lamb hospital at 7:30 a.m. today. He had been a patient there three days. Friends may call this evening at the Shadduck funeral home, where the body reposes. Funeral services there are planned for 2 p.m. Monday, with burial in the Dierks cemetery. Born June 9, 1881, in Elk River township, he was a son of the late Jurgen and Catherine Direks Eggers. He attended the Elk River township schools and farmed in the Andover community for many years. He had never married. He came to Clinton in 1921 and was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge here. He is survived by two sisters, Miss Emma Eggers, at home, and Mrs. Anna Kunau, Miles, and 30 nieces and nephews. Perceding him in death were his parents, a brother in infancy, a sister, Mrs. John Greve, and four other brothers, Henry, John, August and Emil. Retired farmer. Single, never married. S.S. 479-30-9664. 2303 1/2 N. 2nd St. Age 73 yrs. Informant Emma Eggers W.L. Shadduck, undertaker.
