The Clinton Herald Wednesday June 23, 1971 p. 12 The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Shadduck-Cannon funeral home for Miss Emma Eggers, 87, formerly of Clinton. She died Tuesday at the Colonial Manor nursing home in Wheatland. The Rev. Clarence H. Matthias, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Dierks cemetery in rural Clinton. Friends may call today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ed Eggers, Larry Eggers, George Kunau, Jerry Dierks, John Greve and Ben Greve. Miss Eggers was born July 26, 1883, in Elk River Township, the daughter of Jurgen and Katherine Dierks Eggers. She attended Clinton County Schools, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
