Kenneth Eugene Vath

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

CLINTON — Kenneth Eugene Vath, 80, of Clinton, died Sunday at Mercy North Hospital.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tony, Matt, Justin, Dustin and Shaun Vath, Thad Belitz, Troy Tietjens and Bill Sattler.

He was born April 5, 1926, in Clinton to Elmer and Flora Johnson Vath. He married Eleanor L. Lauritsen on Nov. 26, 1949, in Clinton. She died in 1991.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

He was employed as a painter and contractor for 27 years with Elmer Vath Painting and Decorating. He owned Kenny’s Amoco Standard Service from 1974 to 1984 and was employed in maintenance at Mercy Medical Center until retiring in 1993.

Survivors include four sons, Curt A. (Sandy) Vath, Tony G. (Patty) Vath, Gary L. (Deb) Vath and Jeff E. (Joyce) Vath, all of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dennis (Sheila) Vath of Duluth, Minn., and Victor Vath of Clinton.

Memorials may be made to the family for a charity of their choice.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two sisters.
