Visitation: Noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Karl Goodfellow, pastor of Preston United Methodist Church, officiating.

Harriett W. Mackeprang, 84, of rural Sabula, died Friday at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

She was born in Countyline on June 18, 1922, to Bruce H. and Flossie Erb Kelley. She married Wayne W. Mackeprang on July 20, 1943, in Clinton.

She graduated in 1939 from Miles High School. She received a teaching certificate from Iowa State Teacher’s College, Cedar Falls.

She taught for three years at a rural school. She also worked at Schick Hospital, Clinton, during World War II.

She was a member of Miles United Methodist Church, Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary, Elk River Township Homemakers and Miles American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Linda Kay (Burt) Pearl of Sedgwick, Maine, Susan Diane Brown of Tomah, Wis., and Peggy June (Patrick) Kedley of Lowden; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Hammond of Moline, Ill., Kathleen (Philip) Beal of Holland, Mich., and Judy (Werner) Paulsen of Moline, Ill.; and two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Kelley of Augusta Ga., and Lois Kelley of Clinton.

Memorials may be made in her name to Camp Courageous, Montecello.
