Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston.

SERVICES: 3 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Gregory Geier will be officiating. Law-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Cleo F. Bowman, 83, of Preston, died Friday at her home.

Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 3, 1922, in Buckeye-Van Buren Township, Jackson County, to Alfred D. and Clara E. Godes Mohr. She married Arthur D. Bowman on Nov. 28, 1954, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston.

She attended Buckeye School.

She was a homemaker. In her early years, she was a piano and accordion teacher.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Diane Marie (Jerry) Engelkins of Morrison, Ill., Carol Jean (Larry “Butch”) Clark of Zwingle; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

A general memorial fund has been established in her name.
