Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston. The Rev. Gregory Geier, pastor of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, will be officiating.

Frank W. Martin, 56, of Clinton, died Thursday at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.

Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.

He was born in Memphis, Tenn., on July 27, 1949, to Carl and Gloria Liles Martin. He married Kay (Simmons) Martin on Sept. 2, 1972, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston.

He graduated from Great Mills High School, Lexington Park, Md., and attended Northwestern College in Oklahoma.

He worked with the Chicago Northwestern and the Union Pacific railroads for more than 30 years. He ended his railroad career as a corridor manager with the Union Pacific Railroad.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Sean Martin of Clinton; one daughter, Marti (Andrew) Whalen of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Lee Martin of Maryland; three sisters, JoAnne Stegle of Virginia, Linda Martin of Maryland and Judy Jarvis of Alabama; and his stepfather, Earl “Duke” DeEsch of Wilmington, N.C.
