Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Wendell Davelaar, pastor of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton will be officiating.

CLINTON — Mary E. Foster, 79, of the Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility, died Tuesday at the nursing home.

Interment will be in the Fulton (Ill.) Township Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Foster, Marc and Matthew Geerts, Cari Bush, Christy Foster, Stephanie Folsom, Melissa Schroeder, Jason Folsom, Nate Schroeder, Amy Henkelman, Jody Foster, George Henkelman, Dan Bush and Kristy Thompson.

She was born May 7, 1927, in Garden Plain, Ill., to William and Dena Balk Dykstra. She married Edward L. Foster on April 8, 1948, in Fulton. He died in 2003.

She was educated in rural Whiteside County (Ill.) grade schools.

She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in rural Ustick and York townships in Whiteside County.

She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church where she was involved with the Rebecca Society.

Survivors include one daughter, Connie (Gary) Geerts of Sterling, Ill.; two sons, Harlan (Karen) Foster and Steve (Deb) Foster, both of Albany, Ill.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anna (Howard) Wiersema of Thomson, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild.
