Jacob A. Yarolim

MAQUOKETA — Jacob A. Yarolim, 26, of Maquoketa, died Sunday at his home.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.

He was born Sept. 11, 1979, at Balbo Naval Hospital, San Diego, to Douglas and Renea Den Herder Yarolim. He married Tabitha Joy Davis on June 27, 2003, at the United Church of Christ, Maquoketa.

He was a 1998 graduate of Maquoketa High School.

He worked with the Maquoketa Care Center from 1993 to 1995. He then worked at McDonald’s from 1995 to 2001 in Maquoketa as a cook and then earned a promotion to assistant manager. From 2001 until the present, he worked as a machine operator with Dynamic Tube Inc., Maquoketa.

Survivors include his wife; two children, Brittanie and Karter, both at home; his parents, Douglas and Renea Yarolim of Maquoketa; one sister, Amber Yarolim of Maquoketa; two brothers, Andrew Yarolim of Maquoketa and Austin Yarolim of Clinton; his grandmother, Joyce Den Herder of Maquoketa; brothers-in-law, Chris (Amy) Davis of Lost Nation and Nick Davis of Maquoketa; and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers, a Jacob A. Yarolim Memorial Fund has been established.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
