Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jon W. Nienhuis, pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, will be officiating.

PROPHETSTOWN, Ill. — John L. Hook, 81, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, and formerly of Morrison, Ill., died Sunday at the nursing home.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

He was born May 16, 1925, in Fulton to Earl and Grace Blink Hook. He married Loretta J. Eizenga on Aug. 24, 1945, in Morrison.

He was educated in Teehan Grade School, rural Fulton, Ill., and attended Fulton High School

He lived in Morrison for 60 years. He was employed for 42 years in Morrison with Potter Lumber, which became J.A. Bull and Sons Lumber.

He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sandy (Jim) Rosenow of Morrison, Peggy (Jerry) Miller of Springfield and Penny (Kent) Roman of Prophetstown; one son, Dan (Joan) Hook of Morrison; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jenny (LaVerne) Rose of Fair Haven, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
