Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lahey Funeral Home, Lost Nation.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lost Nation, with the Rev. Keith Larson officiating.

MAQUOKETA — Alice D. Hamdorf, 84, of Maquoketa and formerly of Lost Nation, died Thursday at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.

Burial will be in Massillon Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 31, 1921, in Lost Nation to Lafe and Esther Rohling Leinbaugh. She married Lloyd John Hamdorf on Nov. 20, 1948, in Lost Nation.

She graduated from Lost Nation High School in 1939 and attended Wartburg College, Waverly.

In her early years, she taught in Clinton County rural schools and Oxford Junction.

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lost Nation, and Massillon Community Club.

Survivors include two sisters, Avis (Murray) Patterson of Tulsa, Okla., and Donna Zeller of Wheatland; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Bob and Doreen Hamdorf of Lowden, Arlene Ruchotzke of Lost Nation and Virgil and Bonnie Hamdorf of Massillon; and nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred.
