Linda Sue Richards, 61 of Clinton died Tuesday, June 14, 2006 at University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel, 2600 Lincolnway, Clinton. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers Shane Buckley, Vince Cady, Dan Ralston, Jason Hinsch, Jim Topham, Jon Bielema and Scott Goble. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Stremlow, Ron Izer, Harry Ray and Ted Tholen II.

Linda Richards was born January 28, 1945 in Morrison, IL. the daughter of George and Sue (VanDyke) Cady. She received her education in Morrison public schools. She married Ray Richards June 10, 1967 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Clinton. Linda worked for General Electric in Morrison for over 38 years retiring in 2002. She was a member of the Eagles Club and a member of the G.E.M. Club while at G.E. Following her retirement Linda enjoyed gardening, traveling with the Eagles Club, solving crossword puzzles, reading and crocheting with special love and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of over 39 years Ray Richards of Clinton, daughters, Stephanie (Ed) Stremlow and Julie (Don) Eskew all of Clinton, sons, Ryan Richards and fiancé Sherri Brown of Bartlett, IL., and Terry (Julie) Wacker of Atlanta, Ga., brother Michael (Liz) Cady and sister Carol (Gary) Ralston all of Fulton, IL., seven grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Joan Schroeder.
