SERVICES: Private. Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island, is assisting the family with arrangements.
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Arnold H. Fredricksen, 94, of Rock Island, died June 8 at Silver Cross Nursing Center at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.
The body has been cremated. Private inurnment will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Clinton.
He married Dorothy Pierson Fredricksen; she died in 1966. He later married Adeline Hamilton Fredricksen, she died in 2005.
He was born June 15, 1911, to Jens and Sine Nielsen Fredricksen in DeWitt.
He was a longtime resident of Clinton. He was a partner for many years in the Clinton Manufacturing Co., then located in Camanche, and later was head buyer with Hawkeye Chemical Co. until his retirement.
Upon retiring, he and his wife, Adeline, moved to Cherokee Village, Ark., where they resided for more than 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Fredricksen of Oswego, Ill., and Thomas Fredricksen of Wilmette, Ill.; and one stepdaughter, Phyllis Babb of Southbury, Conn.
He was preceded in death by his wives.
