SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Oxford Junction with Pastoral Associate Barbara Tobiason officiating.
OXFORD JUNCTION — Marian M. Shedek, 84, of Oxford Junction, died Monday at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids.
Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.
She was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Stanwood to George and Ellen Gienap Jorgenson. She married Vernon Shedek on Aug. 5, 1939, in Monticello.
She attended Lowden School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Oxford Junction.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Barbara (Gerald) Brauer of Wheatland, Gerre (James) Zaruba of Des Moines and Wendy (Andrew) Nowachek of Overland Park, Kan.; two sons, Gary Shedek and Charles (Pat) Shedek, both of Cedar Rapids; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Ramsey of Davenport and Jean Jorgenson; and one brother, Clarence Jorgenson.
Memorials are preferred.
