SERVICES: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Moe officiating.
SAVANNA, Ill. — Harriet L. Smith, 107, of Savanna, died Friday at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna.
Burial will be in Savanna Township Cemetery.
She was born April 18, 1899, to William and Elva Olive Swift Ritchie in Washington Township, Ill. She married Fred B. Smith on Jan. 1, 1940, in Galena, Ill. He died in 1970.
She attended country school in Marcus, just north of Savanna.
She was a homemaker and did babysitting for many years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Savanna, and a former member of the Milwaukee Woman’s Club.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Phyllis Schroeder of Estes Park, Colo.; several stepgrandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A general memorial fund has been established in her name.
