Visitation: There will be no visitation. Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way, is in charge of arrangements.

CLINTON — Mary J. Harstick, 84, of Clinton, died Tuesday at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date.

She was born Aug. 15, 1921, in Dubuque to Emil and Elizabeth Russ Henschel. She married Ward L. Harstick on July 8, 1943, in Hanover, Ill.

She attended grade school at Nativity Catholic Schools and Dubuque Senior High School.

She worked as a bookkeeper and stenographer in Dubuque and Savanna (Ill.) Proving Grounds.

She resided in Clinton with her husband for more than 59 years.

She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Parish.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Gary (Catherine) Harstick of Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Marianne (Harold) Reynolds of Milan, Ill.; four grandchildren; three sisters, Dolores Manley of East Dubuque, Ill., Margaret (Henry) Dolson of Dubuque, Eileen Richmond of Hanover, Ill., and Kathleen (Frank) Hovar of Roscoe, Ill.; and two brothers, Emil (Bernice) Henschel of Dubuque and Richard (Jean) Henschel of Dallas.

Death date: June 6, 2006
