Joseph L. Schimins

Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday in St. Mary's Church for Joseph L Schimins, 73, of 435 10th Ave. S., who died Friday morning in Jane Lamb Hospital.

The Rev. L. D. Soens will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at Pape Funeral Home, with a parish Rosary at 7:30pm.

Mr Schimins was born Sept. 23, 1906, in Minonk, Ill., to Henry A. and Josephine Tomascheski Schimins Sr. He married Esther Katherine Liechti, Aug. 31, 1926 , in Tampico,Ill.

He was a member of St. Mary's Church and retired from Clinton Water Works in 1973.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Hardison, San Diego, Calf. and Mrs Dean (Patrica) Lawlor, Scotsdale, Ariz. ; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Mary Clara) Jensen, Mrs. Josephine(Cecil) Bentley, and Mrs Herman (Margaret) Bertrand, all of Clinton, ; and one brother Henry A. Schimins, Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1973
