Mrs. Anna Pierce, 81, of Delmar, formerly of DeWitt, passed away Saturday, May 5, 1973, in Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa, after a 10 day illness.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in McGinnis Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Trost of First Congregational UCC officiating.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dean and Robert Cousins, Alfred, Adolph, and George Witt and Harry Feddersen.

Anna Witt was born May 9, 1891, at McCausland to Henry and Madelena Mohr Witt. She and Harry Pierce were married in Davenport June 25, 1925.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Robert Cousins, Sr. of DeWitt and Mrs. Emma Feddersen of Eldridge and two brothers, Herman and Ferd Witt both of DeWitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

1973
