The funeral service for Robyn Jon Rittmer, 10, of Route 1, DeWitt, who was fatally injured Wednesday in a baseball accident at Elvira, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Elvira Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Roger Hoppenworth will officiate, and burial will be in DeWitt Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled after 2:30 p.m. Friday in the McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt.

Robyn, son of Sheldon and Elaine Heneke Rittmer, was born Aug. 15, 1961, in Maquoketa. He would have been a fifth grade pupil next fall in the Northeast Community Schools. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Sunday School. The Rittmer family moved to rural DeWitt from near Elwood about four months ago.

Surviving are a brother, Kenneth, who attends Iowa State University in Ames; a sister, Lynnette at home, and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rittmer, DeWitt.

A brother and the maternal grandparents preceded him in death.
