Michael Malone

Michael Malone, 53, of Camanche, IA passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial service will be held 4:00PM on Monday June 5, 2006 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel, 2600 Lincolnway, Clinton. Visitation will be Monday from 2- 4PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. Pastor Gregory Geier will preside.

Michael Darwin Malone was born June 26, 1952 in Clinton to Darwin Gene and Marilyn Cora (Jones) Malone. He married Julie F. Lane on June 4, 1998 in Iowa City, IA. He was employed with Midwest Poly and was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Preston, IA. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his dog, “Buddy”. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Julie; sons, Adam Malone at home; Brandon Lane of Janesville WI, Zachary VanDorn at home, Zane VanDorn at home, and Jeremy Malone of Clinton; daughters, Brittina Johns of DeWitt, and Melissa Howard of Clinton, two special grandchildren Jeremy and Katelynn Malone, whom he has raised for 8 1/2 years, and 11 grandchildren, his mother, Marilyn Malone of Camanche, IA; one sister, Laura (Terry) Loper of Cedar Falls, IA; and two brothers, Patrick Malone of Camanche, and Darwin (Frances) Malone of Camanche.

He is preceded in death by his father, son, Michael and grandparents.
