William M. “Bill” Green

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Morrison, preceded by a 10 a.m. family prayer service at the funeral home. The Rev. William Antillon will be officiating.

MORRISON, Ill. — William M. “Bill” Green, 79, of Morrison, died Thursday at his home.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

He was born April 27, 1927, in Morrison to Freeman J.L. and Anna I. Tucker Green. He married Grace J. Tillis on June 16, 1956, in Sabula.

He was educated in rural Whiteside (Ill.) County grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School.

He farmed in rural Morrison before retiring in 1990 when he moved to Morrison.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Morrison; Knights of Columbus; board of directors of Farmer’s Elevator; Livestock Feeders Association; Whiteside County Farm Bureau; and Morrison Independent Order of Oddfellows.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Janet Green of Morrison; two sons, Michael Green and Thomas (Karla) Green, both of Morrison; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Mass offerings or Lions Glaucoma Research.
