Darlene L. Smith, 57, of Grand Mound, died December 4, 1991 at Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. today (Saturday) at the Kelly-Schultz Funeral Home in Grand Mound. The Rev. Chuck Layton will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Visitation was 3-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Keith and Tracy Anderson, Jack Zerrien, Darren Witt, Tim Hopkins and Dick Banowetz.
Darlene Smith was born June 12, 1934, to Otto and Louise Sillman Witt in DeWitt.
She was married to Kenneth Sherbern, who died in March of 1975. She married Leon Smith Sept. 3, 1977, in DeWitt. He died Nov. 1, 1988.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Grand Mound Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include two sisters: Betty (Mrs. Jack)Zerrien of Gahanna, Ohio, and Shirley (Mrs. George) Anderson of Welton; two brothers, Adolph Witt of Welton and George Witt of Davenport; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
