Camanche, Iowa - Services for Dale Ploog, 47, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Camanche Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche.
Visitation will be 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday.
He died Friday at his home.
Mr. Ploog worked as an electrician for DuPont Co., Clinton, for more than 28 years.
He married Jan Merrick in 1965 in Charlotte.
He attended Clinton Community College and also completed a course in computer programming at Entre Computer Center, Davenport.
Memberships include Immanuel Lutheran Church, Camanche.
He was a charter member of Gateway Bass Busters.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Tony, Kendall and Dale, all of Camanche; a daughter, Terri Taliafero, who returned this week from Saudi Arabia, where she served in Operation Desert Storm; four grandchildren; his mother, Esther Ploog; sisters, Verdella (Mrs. George) Marik, Marseilles, Illinois; Ellen (Mrs. David) Bielenberg, Charlotte; brothers, Randy, Boalsburg, Pa.; and Rick, Sherrard, Ill.
