Visitation: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Springbrook.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church with the Revs. Donald Plamondon and James Heier officiating.
SPRINGBROOK — Elmer J. Tebbe, 93, of Springbrook, died Thursday at the Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
He was born March 5, 1913, in Jackson County to John and Mary Helmle Tebbe. He married Marie Dondlinger on Nov. 14, 1939, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Springbrook.
He farmed for 40 years before retiring in 1979.
Survivors include his wife; eight children; Leon (Dula) Tebbe of Bellevue, Marlyce Tebbe of Springbrook, Mrs. Donna (Jim) Banowetz of Spragueville, Jack (Anna Mae) Tebbe of Maquoketa, Dennis (Barb) Tebbe of Maquoketa, Steve (Kathy) Tebbe of Springbrook, Mary Kilburg of Bellevue, Mrs. Elly (Steve) Weber of Dubuque; 36 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; three brothers, Alfred Tebbe of Springbrook, John Tebbe of Maquoketa and Sylvester Tebbe of Preston; four sisters, Rosella Sullivan of Bellevue, Regina Clasen of Springbrook, LaVita Budde of Preston, Rosemary Dondlinger of Bellevue; one sister-in-law, Lois Tebbe of Preston; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one son-in-law, three brothers, one sister, seven brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.
