Visitation: 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Revs. Scott Bullock and Wayne Droessler officiating.

BELLEVUE — Katherine C. “Kay” Droessler, 86, of Bellevue, died Tuesday at the Mill Valley Care Center.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

She was born June 29, 1919, in Grant County, Wis., to Leo and Katherine “Kate” Ginter Flogel. She married Howard Droessler on Nov. 19, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Key West, Iowa. He died in 1993.

She and her husband owned and operated the LaMotte Creamery for several years before moving to Bellevue where they developed Riverview Cottages, now known as Spruce Creek Harbor, north of Bellevue. She also was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Bruce (Deb) Droessler of Maquoketa, Mrs. June (David) Deppe of Bellevue and Mrs. Shirley (Pat) Cloos of Springbrook; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Death date: April 4, 2006
