Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
SERVICES: 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Daniel Swinson will be officiating.
MORRISON, Ill. — Eugene A. Elmendorf, 82, of Morrison, died Monday at his home.
Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, with graveside military honors.
He was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Morrison to Levi C. and Bertha LaDine Elmendorf.
He was educated in Union Grove Township. He graduated from Morrison High School in 1942.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II on the USS Hope.
After serving in the military, he farmed in rural Morrison.
He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church, Morrison American Legion Post 328 and Morrison VFW Post 8281. He also was a member of the Morrison Oddfellows Lodge and AARP.
Survivors include two nieces and two nephews.
