Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt. The Rev. Garland Gotoski and Landon Becker, DCE, will be officiating.

CALAMUS — Wilbert M. Petersen, 93, of Calamus, died Monday at Westwing Place, DeWitt.

Interment will be in the Durant Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David, Bryce and Jon Petersen, Virgil and Arlo Krebs and Gary Hoker.

He was born Aug. 16, 1912, in Cleona Township, Scott County, near Stockton, Iowa, to Hemming J. and Bertha Kroeger Petersen. He married Ruby Klahn on Aug. 28, 1935, in Davenport.

He and his wife farmed south of Grand Mound for many years.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard (Dorothy) Petersen of Marion and Duane (Donna) Petersen of Calamus; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Genesis Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
