Clayton Hamilton

Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Wyoming. The Carson and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

WYOMING, Iowa — Clayton E. Hamilton, 95, of Wyoming, died Sunday at the Anamosa Care Center.

Burial will be in North Madison Pioneer Cemetery, rural Onslow.

He was born Aug. 9, 1910, in Emeline to Ernest and Millie Brady Hamilton. He married Helen L. Babcock on Dec. 30, 1931, in Rock Island, Ill. She died in 2000.

He graduated from Monmouth High School in 1928. He then attended Maquoketa Junior College.

He and his wife lived in the Maquoketa area until 1947 when they moved to Wyoming.

He worked various jobs before retiring from Ogden and Adams Lumber Co., Cedar Rapids, in 1975.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wyoming, where he served as an elder at one time. He also was a member of the Teamsters Union, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his children, Marilyn Peck of West Liberty, Ross (Frosty) Hamilton of Traer, Mona Myhlhousen of Cedar Rapids, Jane (Bob) Hansen of Olin and Judy (Mike) Mead of Center Junction; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A Clayton E. Hamilton Memorial Fund has been established.
