William A. Reeg

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, and from 9:30 a.m. until the service time Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMotte. The Rev. Robert Harness will be officiating.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

LAMOTTE — William A. Reeg, 83, of LaMotte, died Wednesday at the Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

He was born Dec. 3, 1922, in Bellevue to William J. and Edna Ernst Reeg. He married Marian E. Adams on Aug. 1, 1945, at St. Clements Catholic Church, Lancaster, Wis.

He was a machinist with John Deere before retiring in 1978.

Survivors include his wife; seven children, Stan (Betty) Reeg of DeWitt, Bill (Diana) Reeg of Bellevue, Mike (Peg) Reeg and Don Reeg, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jim (Kathy Kean) Reeg, Mrs. Judy (Ken) Lochner and Meldi Budde, all of Dubuque; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edwin (Dorothy), Perly (Katie), Carlyle (Betty), Le Roy (Jeanne), Mrs. Arlene (Cletus) Victor and Mrs. Linda (Norb) Lampe; one sister-in-law, Darlene Reeg; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one brother.
