Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Schmitz Funeral Home, Clinton.

SERVICES: 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Prince of Peace Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Tony Herold officiating.

CLINTON — Thomas A. Judge, 57, of Clinton, died Sunday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

The body will be cremated. Burial will be at a later date in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James McLallen, Therese, Paul and Greg Judge, Jim Clark, Louis Egging and the Rev. Tony Herold.

He was born Jan. 28, 1949, in Clinton to Frank and Mary Agnes “Peg” Green Judge.

He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, Clinton, and graduated from St. Jude Seminary, Momence, Ill. He also graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in 1972 with a degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in counseling in 1974. He later graduated from Gonzaga University, Spokane, Wash., with a master’s degree in pastoral ministry. He also studied at the University of Utah.

He was a teacher and administrator in Kirksville and Laclede, Mo. He later moved to Ogden, Utah, where he was an elementary school principal for three years. He then moved to San Jose, Calif., where he was an administrator with FMC. He then moved to Layton, Utah, where he was a special education teacher. He moved back to Clinton in 2001.

He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish where he served on several committees. He also was a member of the Delta Psi Omega Fraternity and was active with the Clinton area Civil War re-enactment group.

Survivors include two sisters: Therese Judge and Mary Judge, both of Des Moines; two brothers, Tim (Jeanne) Judge of Clinton and Mark Judge of Des Moines; two nephews, one niece, three great-nephews; several cousins; and one aunt, Corrine Judge of Davenport.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Prince of Peace Building Fund.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
