VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove, with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. The Rev. Stephen Ebel will be officiating. The Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, is assisting with arrangements.
LONG GROVE — Cecilia Veronica Looney, 96, formerly of Long Grove and Eldridge, died Sunday at Genesis Medical Center, east campus, Davenport.
Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kince, Devon and Phil Looney, Alison Chibnall, Aaron Seier and Joe Hambleton.
She was born May 15, 1909, in Long Grove to Edward and Margaret McMahon Looney.
She was employed at Ridgecrest Retirement Village for 20 years before retiring in 1984.
She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and a charter member of St. Ann’s Guild, Long Grove.
Survivors include 14 nieces and nephews, 34 great-nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers.
