Jack L. Frank, age 74, of Clinton, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at his home. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. A private funeral will be held with burial in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Pelham, Matthew Pelham, Elizabeth Pelham, Gary Watters, Eric Hays and Steve Pelham.
Jack was born on June 26, 1931 in Clinton, the son of Joseph and Nettie Simons Frank. Jack was educated in the Clinton Schools. He married Mildred Dody on March 18, 1950 in Camanche. Mildred died on January 11, 1982. Jack had been employed with Clinton Corn Processing Company, Allied Steel and had retired from Pelham Brothers in 1996. Jack was a member of the Eagles Club where he had held numerous positions on the club’s board. Jack loved playing with his great-grandson, Jack Michael. He enjoyed going on walks, especially with his dog, Stubby. He fed the birds and squirrels daily and had a great respect for the outdoors.
Jack is survived by a daughter; Jolynn (Mrs. Steve) Pelham of Clinton; three grandchildren; Michael (Olivia) Pelham of Clinton, Matthew Pelham of Davenport, and Elizabeth Pelham of Hooppole, IL; a great grandson, Jack Michael Pelham; a sister, Patricia Hudson of Clinton and a niece, Tonnette Hudson of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, a great-granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth, a brother Joseph, a sister Mary and a brother-in-law Tom Hudson.
