SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
CLINTON — Jack Olsen, 87, of Clinton, died Saturday at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.
Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
He was born June 23, 1918, in Clinton to Carl and Inga Summerlund Olsen. He married Lucille Sodeman on Nov. 17, 1946, in Clinton.
He graduated from Clinton High School in 1936.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater.
He worked for 45 years with the Clinton Herald as a pressman and then as a foreman.
Survivors include his wife; children, Jim (Lee) Olsen of Circle Pines, Minn., Dick (Anita) Olsen of Estherville, Dave Olsen of Clinton, Mrs. Susan (Joel) Amostek of Clinton and Gregg Olsen of Clinton; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
