Richard “Dick” Lueders

SERVICES: 3 p.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Wayne Brinkmann officiating. Pape Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

CLINTON — Richard H. “Dick” Lueders, 72, of Clinton, died Tuesday at his home.

Inurnment will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

He was born April 8, 1933, in Clinton to Clarence and Mathilda Knutsen Lueders. He married JoAnn L. “Jody” Malhoit on Nov. 29, 1952, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clinton.

He graduated from Lyons High School in 1951.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a supervisor with E.I. DuPont for 38 years before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he was a former member of the board of trustees. He had a social membership with the Loyal Order of Moose.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Barbara J. Lueders of Thomson, Ill.; one son, Steven R. (Christina) Lueders of Aurora, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the St. John Memorial Fund, Clinton Lutheran Hour or Mercy Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
